The Reva Tag Acquisition family of products enable scalable deployment of RFID for production operations in any environment and deliver the accurate, actionable data that enterprises need to create ROI from RFID implementations.
The TAP 701 is built to deliver the benefits of RFID Network Infrastructure at facilities that have dynamic environments creating considerable tag processing loads and/or require significant numbers of readers. The TAP 701 is well suited to deployments at large retail stores, warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturing plants, food processing centers, airports, military bases, hospitals and other facilities. The TAP 701 is the company’s flagship model. First introduced in 2005, TAP 701s are used in production settings globally and continue to be deployed at sites that range from modest-and-growing to large-and-complex. TAP 701s are used by HP, Sony Europe, METRO Group, Dow Corning, Lemmi Fashion and other customers for distributed manufacturing, logistics and distribution applications.
Each TAP 701 appliance supports up to 128 readpoints (32 conventional 4-antenna readers and RF devices) along with printers, general input / output (GPIO) devices and other sensors.
The Reva TAP 701 is the right RFID Network Infrastructure choice for multi-site production deployments where significant numbers of readers are required. TAP 701s may be deployed in multiples to provide automatic failover and redundancy. In single-facility, multi-TAP deployments scalability is achieved by sharing a single site configuration, automatically load balancing reader processing and automatically designating data service handling in support of enterprise applications.

The TAP 701 is a compact rack-mountable network device that is suitable for standalone deployment or installation in a wiring closet environment, occupying 1RU of height when mounted in a standard 19-inch rack. The front panel provides LED indicators and LCD panel that enable users to perform simple local administration. The TAP supports standard and application-specific interfaces for RFID data access and may be deployed with fixed and mobile readers from many well known reader vendors. The Reva Management Console software accompanies each TAP and is compatible with the Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional and XP Professional operating systems.
